TIRE MACHINE

”Tire Machine” is a work in which a motorcycle tire is rotated and moved parallel to a wall, leaving tire marks on the wall.
The tire gradually scrapes the white wall of the museum’s exhibition room while making a rattling sound. At first glance, the device appears to be a large scale, but what it produces are only small tire marks.
As time passes, the indentations become deeper and deeper.
This work is also meant to be a drawing, but it is clearly different from the drawings I usually make.
The monotonous and endless drawings created by endlessly repeating the same actions give us an eerie feeling as if the technology created by human beings has left our hands and begun to walk on its own.
