Night City and Our Creativity Starting to Move
-it’s time to create a public space where everyone’s creativity can shine through-
ZOU-NO-HANA FUTURESCAPE PROJECT is a social experiment project organized by Zou-no-hana Terrace to propose new ways of utilizing public space with the creativity of art. In 2022, under the theme of “Next Normal Nightlife,” we are proposing “Next Normal Night” in collaboration with “yorunoyo (*1),” an art illumination of the city and lights organized by Creative Light Yokohama Executive Committee.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, how we enjoy “night”, the urban landscape, and the role of public spaces have changed dramatically. This year’s event will be based on such social trends and the experience of “Smart Illumination Yokohama (*2),” which has held at Zou-no-hana Terrace, and aims to express creative “night” through art in three days.
You can enjoy the next-normal “night” with the art of light for 3 days!
Five invited artists, Koichiro AZUMA, Yuga Soma-Uéno, L PACK., Kyota Takahashi, and WA!moto., will be featured in the “Art Program” at the venue, as well as the “University and Company Participation Program,” which gathers young and creative ideas. In addition to exhibiting artworks, there will also be hands-on programs in which visitors can participate.
Also, the “Futurescape Photo Contest” will be held concurrently from this year. The theme of the contest is “Light in Yokohama”. This will be a co-creation art project where you will be invited to rethink the ideal public space in Yokohama through shooting photos.
