At GINZA SIX, I exhibited Infinity Wheel, a kinetic sculpture made by combining bicycles and metal.

About the work
Infinity Wheel is a work composed of multiple bicycle wheels linked together so that when a person pedals, all of the wheels rotate in unison. The movement of each tire is fully interconnected. Through human pedaling, the stopped time and memories of the bicycles are brought back to life. When the wheels become worn out, they can be collected locally and replaced. I created this work while imagining an infinite cycle of renewal emerging within a local community.
