At MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2026, we will present Koichiro Azuma’s Pizza Oven and Jumbo Chimney Project, winner of the PUBLIC ART NOW “MYAF Special Award.”

Pizza Oven and Jumbo Chimney Project reinterprets the massive chimney built as part of measures to combat pollution from the Hitachi Mine, transforming it into a sculpture where people can gather through fire and food.

On Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, the pizza oven will actually be fired up, and pizza will be served to visitors.

Surrounded by the rising heat and smoke, the aroma of freshly baked pizza, and the presence of the sculpture, people will naturally gather, creating opportunities for encounters and conversation.

We hope you will come and experience the work at the festival.
